Why ASMR

Why ASMR?

Science

In person ASMR healing sessions are loaded with emotional and physical benefits with the science to back it up!

Dopamine

Dopamine is a brain neurotransmitter that regulates mood. ASMR helps activate the brain's bonding pathways, releasing dopamine.

Sleep

Existing studies and anecdotal evidence show that ASMR may help improve sleep, as it activates brain regions associated with sleep-inducing hormones.

Stress

ASMR can lower cortisol levels by promoting relaxation and stress reduction.

Dementia

A study in The Journal of Prevention of Alzheimer's Disease found that the brain region associated with ASMR is not affected by Alzheimer's or Dementia. While not a cure, it can greatly relieve psychological and emotional strain caused by these diseases.

Nervous System

ASMR activates the parasympathetic nervous system which aids in digestion, conserves energy, and balances the sympathetic system.
