Meet Becca, The Creator of WhisperWave

Hi, I’m Becca, and I created WhisperWave to bridge the gap between sensory healing and accessible, transformative wellness. Inspired by the profound impact of ASMR on my life, I set out to craft a space where others could experience its soothing, restorative benefits.

 

Today, WhisperWave is at the forefront of in-person ASMR, blending traditional somatic techniques with innovative sensory therapies.

What to expect during your session

 

An ASMR session is a little hard to explain — it must be experienced! Each session uses a blend of techniques meant to evoke childhood whimsy, relaxation and a feeling of being cared for. Some of the things you can expect include:

What is ASMR?

 

It's short for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Utilizing different types of multi-sensory stimuli, ASMR is a way to help you relax and feel warm and fuzzy inside. Some people get the ‘tingles’ or goosebumps when experiencing it, but almost all can agree that it is deeply relaxing to the nervous system.

 

Who is this service for?

 

An ASMR session is for everyone of all ages. Due to the caring, non-invasive nature of the treatment, we can accommodate people with special physical requirements such as limited mobility or pregnancy. We can also work with all ethnicities of hair, and extensions. If you have a special concern please feel free to email us and we will do our best to accommodate. The location is wheelchair accessible. 

 

Do you see male clients?​

Yes! My male client base is growing all the time, and I couldn’t be happier about this. I’m grateful that 99.5% of my male clients have been absolutely wonderful. However, for the sake of clarity and respect, I want to emphasize one important point:

Your experience is personal to you, and while this work is rooted in the sensory, it is not a sensual experience. Any attempt to treat it as such—whether through subtle or overt language or actions—will result in the immediate termination of the session and a permanent ban from future treatments.

​

Do you have an age restriction?

​

Children are naturally attuned to ASMR, and I’ve had the privilege of working with clients of all ages. For clients under 18, sessions are offered at the discretion of the client and their caretaker.

​

How should I prepare for session?

​

The only preparation required is selecting comfortable attire. Feel free to wear a tank top, a bra, or go without a top—whatever makes you most comfortable—while ensuring full coverage with pants. If you opt for a top, we recommend a tank or something that allows easy access to the upper back and shoulders. To maximize relaxation, choose clothing without sharp buttons or zippers.

What are some of the benefits?

​

Live ASMR is a bridge. Outside of romance, many people aren't receiving enough physical touch, and can go weeks without more than a handshake. Massage is one of the few services for human contact, but it can be physically challenging, and often lacks the softer, more nurturing element that so many of us crave.

​

Many of us have memories of a caretaker rubbing our back or tucking a blanket over us. These experiences tell us “relax, you are safe and cared for.” The ASMR sessions at WhisperWave aim to emulate this experience while also elevating it, providing care and nurturing to your nervous system.

How do you keep things clean?

​

All tools are sanitized in between clients. Soft tools are washed with medical grade soap and hot water, and hard tools are sprayed with an organic ethanol spray. Sheets are refreshed and head rests are disinfected.


 

Can I communicate during my session?

​

The ASMR practitioner is here to make your experience as comfortable and easeful as possible. Communication is encouraged as needed at any point during the session.


 

How does a live session work?

​

A live, in-person ASMR session takes place in a calming and comfortable room that is designed to promote relaxation. ASMR triggers are practiced over the course of the session. This can include whispering, tapping, brushing, scratching, gentle touch, personal attention, and others. One common aspect of ASMR sessions is providing personal attention to the recipient which may include things like a gentle scalp massage, to trigger the ASMR response. 


 

​Do I need any special equipment like headphones?

​

You only need to bring yourself!


 

Is it possible to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

​

Cancellation Policy

​

As a small business owner, I truly appreciate your support and understanding when it comes to booking and managing appointments. I know that life can be unpredictable, and I’m not looking to penalize anyone for last-minute changes. That said, to ensure the health of my business, I have implemented the following cancellation policy to help me manage my limited working hours effectively.

  • I ask for at least 36 hours' notice for any changes or cancellations. If less than 36 hours' notice is provided, a 50% fee will be charged.

  • Changes or cancellations with less than 12 hours' notice will result in a 100% fee.

​

A Note on Flexibility: I always strive to be as accommodating and reasonable as possible. If you need to make a last-minute change for a booking made on short notice, I will do my best to work with you. Additionally, if I have a slower weekend with more availability, I may be able to offer more lenient options. When there isn't someone else trying to book that spot, it's less of a financial loss for me, and I'm happy to pass that flexibility on to you.
